FOREVER UNITED

“Milnaa jag mein kathin hai, mili bicchuro jani koye
Bicchuraa saajan tihi mile, jihi maathe mani hoye”

It is very difficult to meet with the Beloved in this world; therefore, if you have met with Him, do not break up with Him. To be able to reunite with Him, your forehead must be adorned with gems.

Union and separation…. This is one of the unfortunate realities of this world’s dual nature. Mystically speaking, duality is only apparent in the illusory world; it is not real, because separation is only illusive. We all form part of the same vast consciousness. But because we live on a different plane existence, we cannot easily see our connection. In this saakhi Satguru Kabir Saheb is telling us to stay connected once we have realised God. He is saying that it is difficult to reach that point where we are able to connect with God. At the same time, the power of Maya is so strong that we can be swayed away from that connection. Therefore, He is cautioning us….not to fall in the trap of duality again. If one loses her Beloved, she has to get herself adorned again as a bride, decked with jewels, and be worthy of being accepted. This metaphor of the bride (soul) and the groom (Supreme Soul) is pertinent in describing how the soul needs to uplift herself for her to deserve that communion. The gems on the forehead represents the state of spiritual perfection which is attained by absorbing the essence of that knowledge which is the key to reach the non-dual state of being. Just like the beauty of the bride is an essential element in the ritual uniting her with her groom, the sanctification of the soul is essential for her union with the Supreme Soul. It is because of the power of Maya that Satguru Kabir Saheb is advising us to stay connected with God once we have realised Him. With you forever, my Beloved!
