Visits

The Kabir Association of Toronto has been involved in inviting and accommodating for eminent personalities from the Kabir Panth community worldwide. With the help of these influential figures, we have been able to spread our messages more effectively by organising satsangs, lectures and spiritual discourses which have been attended by the public. These personalities include:

Dr. Jagessar Das

Dr. Jagessar Das of the Kabir Association of Canada (active 1984-2018), based in Vancouver had visited in the summer of 2010 to deliver lectures and spread the message of Kabir Saheb. A pubic lecture had been organised on the 18th of July, 2012 at the Franklin Horner Community Centre (Toronto, ON). The lectured opened by the lighting of the jyot (lamp) followed by the presentation of a lecture by Dr. Das himself as well as Mahants from the Association.

Dr. Das has also been involved with other comparable organizations helping them attain their goals. As a writer, Dr. Das has written countless essays on the teachings of Kabir Saheb. He has also translated, in English, various scriptures of Kabir Saheb, thus reaching out to the non-Hindi speaking community. In 2014, he had again visited for the launch of his book, The Brahm Nirupan of Kabir; a translation of the original Hindi Brahm Nirupan. The launch was held on Sunday, July 13th at the Viswanath Mandir, 713 Jane St. (Toronto, ON). To view his works, click here.

As of most recent, Dr. Das visited Toronto in September of 2018 to inaugurate the ‘Kabir Centre,’ located at #38-1365 Mid-Way Blvd, Mississauga, ON L5T 2J5 (Canada).

Hazur Ardh Naam Saheb

Panth Shri Hazur Ardhnaam Saheb is a very prominent figure in the Kabirpanth community of India not to mention around the world in countries such as Mauritius, Trinidad and Fiji. He is recognised as the leader and head of the Kabir Panth movement based in Lahartara Dhaam, Varanasi (UP, India). He regularly travels across India, and to many other parts of the world, including Canada, to spread his message.

Having been graced by his visits, the association has organized satsangs and other events to celebrate the Kabir Panth movement.  Visiting in 2010, 2012, 2015 and most recently August of 2017, Hazur Saheb is currently back in India where he continues his holy works of spreading the teachings of Kabir Saheb.

 Trinidad

Preceding his recent visits to Canada (2015 and 2017), Hazur Saheb had visited Trinidad where he gave various lectures and sermons at the houses of local Kabir Panthis. To aid in the translation of his teachings (from Hindi to English), members of the association had traveled to Trinidad. Hazur Saheb was able to efficiently spread his message to the local community with the help of the Association’s President, Mht. Jaiparamhans Jaggessur who was accompanied by other satsangees from the association.
